The exterior is hard-anodized aluminum, which is even stronger than stainless steel, with an encapsulated pure aluminum core for quick, even heating. The interiors of the pots and pans feature Cuisinart's Quantanium nonstick finish, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little oil or butter is needed when cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. All the lids are break-resistant glass, and handles are pure stainless steel, riveted for strength. Every piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F. Cuisinart puts together all the most commonly used pots and pans in this gift-worthy 12-piece set. My boyfriend had been looking for a set of Cuisinart anodized pots & pans because we love our Cuisinart 6qt pot. This set was an amazing deal ($129 instead of the original $450) - even more amazing is that they arrived the day after they were shipped! Unfortunately when we went to use the 8qt pot the top was slightly dented - not enough to see without looking very closely, but enough so that the lid didn't fit. I e-mailed Amazon and got a reply almost immediately saying that they had sent out another order. I was given 3 choices of how to return the other set (print out a prepaid label, be reimbursed for shipping costs or have them picked up at the house) and chose to have Fed-Ex come and pick them up. Fed-Ex picked them up the next day and the new set arrived the day after that. The new set is perfect and in the last week we have used the 1qt sauce pan, the 8 inch skillet and the saute pan. We were amazed at how quickly and evenly they heated.
I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking for great cookware at an amazing price!

So far, I absolutely love my cookware. Easy to use, and i love that the handles are stainless, because on a gas stove, they don't give off the chemical odor that plastic or rubberized handles do.
