Product Description Since 1814 Wusthof has been making some of the worlds finest cutlery. This Wusthof Classic Paring Knife was hot-drop forged entirely by hand from a single blank of high carbon, no-stain steel. The wide bolster provides heft, balance and safety in handling. An ideal addition to any kitchen. Carries Wusthof guarantee.
Amazon.com Review The small size and sharp point of this paring knife make it ideal for handheld and other small or intricate cutting chores, such as vegetable peeling or mincing small amounts of parsley. An obligatory kitchen addition, this knife carries its weight mostly in its extremely comfortable handle, which allows you greater control. Part of the Classic series, this knife represents two centuries of unexcelled Wüsthof craftsmanship. Like other cutlery in the series, it's hand-forged from a single piece of stainless steel for maximum strength; the hand-polished blade is exactingly calibrated to be hard enough to resist dulling yet soft enough to take a keen edge when it's honed or sharpened. Dishwasher-safe and with a traditionally shaped, ergonomically designed handle that is triple-riveted for durability, this knife brings a guaranteed lifetime of low-maintenance cutting to any cook who owns it. --Arthur Boehm

KNIFE WILL BEND August 11, 2010 J. A. Travis (St Louis, MO USA) Its a great knife, did not break, but it did bend, on the knife end.I have had for 2 years.
First paring knife July 19, 2010 Asao (Hawaii) I use this mainly for red bell peppers. Makes cutting them a breeze. This is my first semi-expensive knife I purchased and do not regret spending the extra cash at all! I'm looking forward to building a set, one by one.
excellent paring knife January 10, 2010 Peter E. Safir (charlotte, NC United States) there is no substitute for a high quality sharp paring knife. this one works well at 3 1/2 inches. I also purchase a henckles 4 inch paring same time. use both
Great knife, but handle is too short September 22, 2009 Zaine Ridling (Missouri, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm doing through a process of elimination, just like Goldilocks. First I bought the Wusthof 4.5-inch utility/paring knife and it was too long as a paring knife, but very useful for many other jobs. Then I bought this 3.5-inch paring knife and it is way too short (3.25" blade; 3.5" handle); I can only fit three fingers around the handle, which for me is unusable. So I bought the 4-inch paring knife today and that should be just right.
Still, as with all Wusthof knives, this 3.5-inch model has a thin but stiff Vanadium blade, meaning it will slice through anything quickly and easily. Takes a little extra time to sharpen, but the payoff is that it stays sharp a lot longer than all but my Forschner/Victorinox knives. If you one who has small, childlike hands, this knife is for you. Otherwise, start with the 4-inch blade and save yourself time and money.
Excelent Paring Knife August 12, 2009 Indie Insomniac (Bradenton, FL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Attractive, well designed paring knife. Every cook needs two knives to get by, a chef's knife and a paring knife. I got this knife after falling in love with the Wüsthof Classic 7-Inch Hollow Edge Santoku Knife. I couldn't survive in the kitchen without these two knives. This paring knife is ideal for small intricate cutting that a standard chef's knife is just too large for. If you are looking for a paring knife capable of taking care of those small, precise cutting tasks in the kitchen then this is the knife for you. Given the cost and quality of this knife, you just can't go wrong with it. You will never need another paring knife.
Pros:
>Handle and design allow for comfortable hold and precise cutting.
>Makes clean, precise cuts.
>Attractive design.
>Durable and stays sharp.
Cons:
>As of now I have no problems with this knife.
