Don't get me wrong--this ridiculously affordable, small, and quiet blender was exactly what I needed. And it works fine. Two things--in the first dishwasher run, the plastic warped. It's a good thing that the lid is actually made of some kind of flexible material, so I can still get it around, but I was pretty surprised. There is nothing at all unusual about my dishwasher, just a standard one. Second, like others, I've noticed the thing starts to smell after it's been blending. It's not that big of a deal, since it's right about blended by the time it starts to smell, but still... A little nasty. For this price, though, my expectations were pretty low, and it works fine.

I bought this to make smoothies with, but the first time I used it with yogurt, soymilk, and frozen fruit, I had to stop every now and then and scrape down the sides. I had to defrost the berries before I made another one. The lid NEVER fit onto the cup properly; I wound up using aluminum foil over the top when I was blending something. You can't take the blade portion off of the cup to clean it which is extremely inconvenient; not to mention, who wants to carry around a "cup" with blending blades in the bottom. Finally, I just gave up and decided to buy something better. Save your money and buy a real blender!

I read that the motor on this blender isn't strong, and that's true. But frankly, it's not the blender I use when I need a party-full of frozen margaritas. This is my "wake up in the morning, throw some smoothie ingredients in, pulse until smooth and go" blender. My new favorites are chocolate ice cream and instant breakfast powder with a little milk, or frozen berries and yogurt with a little juice. Small enough to fit in my tiny apartment, and it looks great too! And so easy to clean!

This is already all packaged up and ready to be returned. I am an "on-the-go" kind of person and thought this would be perfect. This morning was my first use- frozen fruit, juice, yogurt and two ice cubes and the thing started SMOKING! What if I wanted it icier and put in a lot of ice? It would have blown up! On top of it not being able to blend frozen fruit, it took about 5 minutes just to get it mixed up a little. Cheap, cheap, cheap. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

This product would not be bad except for the lid, it leaks. I have tried to use this product several times and everytime the lid leaked, I just can't get past that, so I am giving this only 1 star. They should have provided a lid for blending and a lid for drinking, or at least a lid that would seal.
