Product Description The very nice thing about a Pyrex measuring cup is that the glass is tempered and can handle hot liquids. Heat up water for stock, cocoa, or tea, or heat stock for risotto in the microwave. What the heck, heat your milk for making a white sauce, or melt butter for lobster. This large cup makes a convenient batter bowl too.
Amazon.com Review Follow recipes with precision with this 1-quart liquid measuring cup from the pros at Pyrex. Constructed in durable Pyrex glass, the cup displays both metric and imperial system measurements with increments in liters and cups. Bright red lines and text help chefs identify dark liquid levels with ease. A wide handle provides a comfortable grip. For recipes requiring hot milk or melted chocolate, the cup is both microwave- and oven- safe. In addition, this user-friendly measuring cup is also dishwasher-safe. Made in the USA, the cup weighs 3 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

A good buy July 26, 2010 T.N. (new york) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Pyrex 1 quart measuring cup is great. Well made and sturdy. You will not be disappointed. When you pour with it just rememeber to pour slowly.
It actually MAY break... July 14, 2010 Ken Alper (West Orange, NJ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
...if you drop it from the top shelf of your refrigerator onto a tile floor. Time to order a new one, I guess -- I think this one lasted about a dozen years, though. Not bad for around ten dollars!
Very handy size to have June 20, 2010 Boardingace (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We love using this large Pryex size measuring cup. I don't use it as often as the 2 cup one, but when I need it, it is so handy! For example, measuring 3-4 cups of mixed veggies or fruit for cooking/baking - you just toss them in the cup as you're cutting them up, as it measures the amount you need! Also, pyrex is very high quality glass, so it looks nice and you know that you'll have it...forever!
Nice Measuring Cup April 18, 2010 PhillyFan (Philadelphia, PA) It is good to have more than one measuring cup. This one works great in the microwave.
Pyrex in the house! April 13, 2010 xiao_haozi Okay here is all you need to know:
This thing is cheap - even I can afford it.
This thing is Pyrex - you can heat it, cool it, dishwasher (word?) it.
Holds your liquids - and they don't come out until you pour them out.
Big size - size matters... especially in the kitchen.... you can get a lot of broth/batter/mix in this thing.
This thing is sturdy - I'm pretty sure it's A-team approved.
Stop reading, start buying, and get cooking.
