It makes cooking an experience in opulence even if you only boil potatoes in it.

Like many people, after seeing "Julie & Julia" this summer I was inspired to cook hearty beef dishes, and had to have the gorgeous red cookware they used. I'd heard of Le Creuset before, but the price was off putting. But knowledgeable foodie friends insisted they were worth the price. Swoooooon! Now I'm such a believer. I didn't think it was possible to love a pot like I do this one. Everything cooks so beautifully, either on the stove, in the stove and I can still use it to store leftovers in the fridge. And when it's not cooking, I leave it sitting proudly on top because they're just so damn pretty. Another thing -- clean up. Easy. Every time I've used it was sure I was ruining the pot -- the food sticking to the interior would never come off, right? Not a problem! Easiest cleanup ever. I've only had the pot for a month or so, and I use it almost every week. It has everything -- looks, quality, and will last forever. It's the best investment you can make.
Very nice pot! April 14, 2009 S. SPEIGHT (Quartz Hill, CA) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great pot! I love using it while cooking. It heats evenly, cleans easily. Well worth the price!
The best small dutch oven available anywhere April 1, 2009 S. Barrett (Santa Cruz, CA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I love my Le Creuset heavy gauge pot for even cooking of meats, soups, and stews. It's the one I always reach for when I cook a small portion of stew or chili. The round shape fits perfectly on my gas burner, and wash up is a breeze.
Use it on top of the stove or in the oven with equally fantastic results. Yes, it's pricey, however, this is a pot you'll keep for a lifetime and pass down to your kids.
Mine's the lovely cobalt blue, but the other colors are equally beautiful and would make a splendid wedding gift.
Recommended.
